I tend to buy too many recipe books that fill my shelves, but I enjoy flipping through and finding new and enticing recipes to try. I guess there could be worse pastimes! I few months ago, I finally went through and cleared out and donated all of my recipe books from my “pre-plant based life”. I also recycled all of those old animal based recipes in my recipe box that looked too difficult to”veganize”. That process felt good and was a great affirmation that there will be no going back for me.
There are some really amazing books out there that I couldn’t be without. My two favourite are Oh She Glows Cookbook and Oh She Glows Every Day, by Angela Liddon. My copies are so marked up and earmarked from all of the use. (I finally got smart and put a little tab marking recipes so I can find them again!) She also has a great recipe App you can download. Her recipes are simple, but delicious.
If you are on the hunt for more recipe books, I would also suggest Vegan Cooking for Carnivores, by Roberto Martin, and The Minimalist Baker, Dana Shultz. She has an amazing website and App as well! All of her recipes call for 10 ingredients or less, take 30 minutes or less to prepare, or require only one bowl.
